Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what we never do with it. Plain words.
Last updated 24 September 2026.
Who we are
PageInq makes an AI assistant that businesses put on their website and other channels to talk to their customers. This policy covers two groups of people: the businesses that use PageInq, and their customers who talk to the assistant.
If you run a business on PageInq
We collect what we need to run your account: your name, email, the name of your business, and how you pay. We store the sources you connect, such as your website pages, files, and the apps you link. We store the sign-in tokens those apps give us, encrypted.
We use this only to provide the service you set up. We do not sell it. We do not use it for advertising. We do not train AI models on it.
If you are a customer talking to a business's assistant
The business you are talking to is in charge of your data. We process it on their behalf, following their instructions.
We store what you type or say to the assistant, and its replies. If you attach an image, the assistant looks at it to help you. If you attach a document, it is stored for the business's team and the assistant does not read it. If you prove who you are to see an order, we use what you gave us for that check and nothing else.
On a voice call, your speech is turned into text so the assistant can answer. The text of the call is kept with the conversation. We do not keep the audio.
What the assistant can see about you
Only what the business connected and only at the level of trust you have earned. Someone who has not proven who they are cannot see any order, booking, or invoice. Someone who has proven one order can see that order. Someone signed in to their account can see their own account.
Who else sees your data
We use a small number of providers to run the service: hosting, a database, an AI model provider, email delivery, error monitoring, and the apps the business chose to connect, like Shopify or Stripe. Each one sees only what it needs to do its part. We do not give your data to anyone else.
We use Sentry to tell us when something in PageInq breaks. It gets the technical details of the error and ID numbers. It does not get your messages, your name, or your email.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out of our sign-up flow. It checks your browser in the background, without a puzzle, and its use is subject to Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Before signing up, you can try PageInq on your own business. If you add documents, with your website or without one, they are sent to Reducto, our document processor, to be turned into text. Reducto handles them under its own terms, which let it keep them to run and improve its service. We don’t keep the files. Their text stays in your browser until you sign up, and becomes part of your account if you do.
How long we keep it
Conversations stay as long as the business keeps them. Files we fetch from a connected app are deleted once we have read them. When a business disconnects a source, its content is deleted. When a business closes its account, its data is deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data. If you are a customer, ask the business you talked to, and they can ask us. If you run a business on PageInq, write to us. Where a connected platform sends us a deletion request about you, we honour it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Sign-in tokens live in an encrypted vault. Access by our staff is limited and logged. More on the security page.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we tell businesses by email before it takes effect.
